NASA's PUNCH Mission Captures Stunning Image of Eclipsed Sun #sciencefather #NASA #PUNCHMission

NASA’s PUNCH mission, a group of four satellites launched on March 11, captured a stunning image of the moon crossing the sun on April 27 during testing. Using an "occulter" to block bright sunlight, the image reveals the sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona. PUNCH will begin science operations on June 9 to study the solar wind and its effects on Earth. Working with the Parker Solar Probe, it aims to improve space weather forecasting and protect vital technology.
