Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian Air Force test pilot chosen by ISRO, will return India to human spaceflight after 40 years aboard Axiom Mission 4. Launching June 25, 2025 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Kennedy Space Center, the Crew Dragon capsule will reach the ISS the next day, where Shukla will lead seven Indian experiments in plant growth, muscle repair, microbial studies, and AI in microgravity—reviving India’s space legacy and ushering in a new era of international collaboration.
