Japan’s ispace Resilience Lander Set for Historic Moon Landing on June 5 #sciencefather #MoonLanding
Japan’s ispace will attempt its second lunar landing with the Resilience lander on June 5, 2025, at 3:24 p.m. EDT (4:24 a.m. JST on June 6). Launched via SpaceX on January 15, Resilience reached lunar orbit on May 6 after a low-energy transfer. The target site is Mare Frigoris in the moon’s northern hemisphere. Following the 2023 Hakuto-R failure, this mission is a pivotal step in private space exploration.
