LUCAS (Luminescence Cascade Sensor) is a rapid virus detection system developed by U.S. scientists. It uses luciferase and β-galactosidase enzymes to produce a strong, long-lasting light signal when viruses are present. LUCAS delivers results in just 23 minutes with over 94% accuracy, making it a powerful tool for fast, sensitive, and portable diagnostics.
