A rare butterfly-shaped coronal hole, spanning nearly 500,000 km, has appeared in the Sun’s atmosphere. NASA reports that the solar wind from this event may reach Earth by September 14, 2025, potentially sparking stunning auroras and mild geomagnetic storms.
